Wind Challenge

Established in 1978, the Wind Challenge Exhibition Series is an annual juried competition that is committed to enriching and expanding people's lives through art. Three Wind Challenge Exhibitions throughout the year feature the work of exceptional artists living in the Philadelphia region.

Annual Student Exhibition

For 120 years, the Annual Adult Student Exhibition has celebrated the vibrant artwork created by Fleisher’s students. The exhibition provides students with the opportunity to show their work in a public gallery, a milestone in any artist’s career.

Annual Faculty Exhibition

You’ve seen and worked with them in Fleisher’s studios, now see their work firsthand in the Faculty Exhibition. Fleisher’s faculty members are among the Philadelphia region’s most talented artists, and the exhibition showcases work from their studio practice in sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, painting, drawing, and photography.

Young Artists Exhibition

The Annual Young Artists Exhibition features work from the 500 students enrolled in the Fleisher's Saturday Young Artists Program, Teen Lounge, and Community Partners in the Arts residencies. The exhibition includes work in all mediums created by our young artists as well as paintings created by their parents. Prizes and awards are announced during the exhibition’s closing.

Faculty Fellowship Exhibitions

Faculty Fellowship Exhibitions highlight the work of faculty members selected to receive one of two fellowships: the Fred and Naomi Hazell Art Award for painters working with oils and the Louchheim Fellowship, named for former Fleisher chairperson Dene Louchheim. Awarded biennially, the selected artists receive a cash prize and a solo exhibition in Fleisher’s Center for Works on Paper building.

Under One Sky: Reflecting Immigrant Communities, The Photographs of Harvey Finkle: 1982–2018 on view September 26 through November 5 in the Dene M. Louchheim Gallery.

Diálogo 365: New Rhizomes

In 2022, Fleisher and Casa de Venezuela are partnering to create a series of artistic and cultural projects that preserve cultural heritage and foster placemaking as part of 360 Culture Lab, a project supported by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage. This exhibition, to be hosted in Fleisher’s galleries in the summer of 2022, is one of the collaboration’s flagship projects.

Ella King Torrey Young Artist Award

Established by Ella Russell Torrey in 2018 in honor of the contributions her daughter Ella King Torrey made to the community, the Young Artist Award supports the continued development of a young artist between the ages of 14 and 19. The Ella King Torrey Young Artist Award celebrates Ella’s joy, excitement and commitment to artists by encouraging exceptional teenage students at Fleisher.
